What's all about? RAIDS are an instantiated content in which a group of players fought individual bosses, or go with 24 players in a longer content with different bosses. RAIDS belong to the final game content and can be demanding, especially if they are played promptly for their publication.

In Final Fantasy XIV there are two types of raids. On the one hand, there are the "normal RAID", which are designed for groups of 8 players. That's why it is also called 8-player RAID. There are also the "Allianz Raid", which consists of 3 groups of 8 players each. So he is a 24-player RAID.

To hop directly to the unlocking quests of the RAIDS and their locations, you can use the "content" function up.

8-player raids and how they work

8 player raids are available in two difficulties: normal and epic. The normal difficulty can be completed in content search from randomly assembled players, while the epic difficulty is directed to experienced players.

What are normal 8-player RAIDs? The 8-player RAID is usually a single fight against a single strong boss opponent, which protect a few few small groups at additional monsters. This type of RAIDS consists of 4 individual instances.

They also tell their own exciting history. This means that you follow a Quest series before and after completing such a content in the open world consisting of several missions.

Overall, 12 individual contents are published in an addon of them. An exception is the normal RAIDs in "A Realm Reborn", because of these there are 13 pieces.

Ultimate Raids: There is also a special case of the ultimate raids. They are the hardest inholate in FFXIV, which are mastered by a very small part of the players. Overall, there are 3: Bahamut, Alexander and Ultima. They give no equipment, but especially beautiful weapons and a title.

What rewards are there in normal 8-player RAIDs? In normal difficulty, your items that work like vouchers or collection marks work. When concluding a content you can do this and then dice with your group around you. You collect a certain number of them and can then exchange them against high-quality items, such as armor or jewelry.

There is still a special feature: when such a RAID is released, then you will receive exactly one brand per week. So you have to think about which you want to have, because they have different prices. For example, a piece of jewelry costs only one coupon, but a breastplate but four vouchers. Companion or music rolls do not fall under this rule. The rule disappears after some updates.

What are epic 8-player RAIDs? Epic 8-player RAIDs are clearly heavier than their normal counterparts and more designed for experienced players. But they are also completely optional. You usually have to be trained for several hours to complete a degree. Incidentally, Epic Raid Difficulty means "Savage". There are 12 pieces per extension - every normal 8-player RAID has an epic difficulty.

What rewards are available in epic raids? The equipment you get in epic raids is stronger than in the normal version. In addition, in some epic raids as a reward, there is also a special riding.

The equipment drops both as individual armor parts as well as in the form of suitcases, from which you can get the desired armor.

24 player raids and how they work

What are allianz raids? The Alliance Raids are basically an XXL version of a dungeon. Your train with 24 players you a way through the RAID and fights an end boss at the end. The 24 players are divided into 3 groups (A, B, C) with 1 tank, 2 healers and 5 damage dealers (DDS). On the way there expect smaller monster groups, intermediate bosses and different tasks.

For example, you have to press a printing plate separately with each other, so that the other groups will continue, or inject them together on a single boss. The tasks differ depending on the alliance raid or even the group.

There are currently a total of 12 Alliance RAIDs. A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, StormBlood and Shadow Bring each have 3 separate content. Allianz-Raids tell a story with their own main characters as well as normal RAIDs.

What rewards are available in the Allianz RAIDs? In the Allianz Raids, your armor parts can be misered. Important here is that each of the three groups get their own prey - so it does not die against the other groups.

The drops are random, that is, there is no guarantee that you immediately get the equipment you want. After winning the final boss, there are additional rewards, such as companions, music roles and sometimes hairstyles. All players cubes around these.

Again, there is a special feature: When an Alliance Raid is released, then you get only one equipment per week from the content. So you have to think about whether you want to dice to a subject, or repeat the content and "saves". This rule disappears after some updates. Companions, music roles or hairstyles do not fall under this rule.

In addition, you will also get an object per week, which you can exchange for upgrade items for armor on upgrade items, which you acquire with allagic stones.

These are allagic stones: The allagic stones are an extra currency that you can swap against different items. They are available in different variants.

The upgrade items can improve both armor and jewelry, later there are upgrades for the weapons that you get through allagic stones.

Here are a few more, useful information:

• Older RAIDs can be started "unsynched". That is, you resist your current level and equipment. The old raids are much easier.
• The intricate shadows of Bahamut and the Savage Raids of Heavensward and StormBlood are barely played as their equipment is no longer up to date. If you are done, then for the special loot or for equipment glamours (Transmog).
• The Level 50 RAID Kristallturm became the mandatory content only in the course of Shadow Bringers Patch 5.3.
