The Witcher: Blood Origin is a forthcoming fantasy miniseries adjusted from The Witcher book series by Andrew Minkowski. It will certainly act as an innovator to the Netflix television series.
For fans of The Witcher this is a really nice Christmas. Because Netflix not only presents you the second season of The Witcher, but also the first teaser trailer to the prequel series Blood Origin, which plays in the Elfenwelt 1200 years before the events of the main series.
Sphere conjunction and the first Witcher
Netflix has released the second season of The Witcher with Henry Cavils a few days ago as a straight line of Rival. In the credits of the last episode, a surprise awaits you: The first teaser trailer to the prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin. This should appear in the coming year and tell a hitherto unknown history about how the worlds of the monsters, People and elves have fused. The latter should go in Blood Origin, as the series in the Elfenwelt plays 1200 years ago.
Here you can see the close-up trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin:
But the series is still called The Witcher and therefore a Witcher must not be missing. Unlike in the main series, it is not not to go to the Gerald of Rival, but about the first Witcher.

The act revolves around a group of elves — played by Vikings-performer Laurence O'Quatrain, Star Trek Actress Michelle Yeah and other actors — in time when the so-called spheres progress happened. This is not explained in detail even in the books, but she was the reason why threatening beasts are hunting for people. Finally, the emergence of the witches was necessary to protect humanity.
In the Mini Series Blood Origin, which should include six episodes, the makers want to lighten just in detail. Since the first Witcher was created only after the spheres' conjunction, it is possible that is worked again with time jumps, similar to Season 1 of The Witcher.
The filming of the prequel series has already been completed on 21 November 2021. The Witcher: Blood Origin is expected to appear 2022 on Netflix. The second season of The Witcher has been available for streaming since the 17th of December on Netflix.
