How did their brothers carry the karma of game development? I heard their honest stories.

Q. Teams and startup developers who started in graduation work often met frequently. Please introduce a brief introduction.

Moon Jong -ho: It is called Moon Jong -ho, who is the main programmer for Efmun. Ifmun, as you know, is a team that is organized. So the team name was also named after the surname Moon. Because of the brothers, there is nothing to be a representative, and both are working hard as a representative. However, good areas are different. Basically, I am the main programmer, and my brother is the main artist and is working hard to complete each other's lack of each other.

Q. Brothers "Let's make a good game together!" Did you create a team with your heart?

Moon Jong -ho: Not (laughs). I was originally a programmer for an ordinary company, not in the game industry. I have been working for seven to eight years, and my brother has been interested in it for a long time, but I've been doing outsourcing as an artist rather than making my own. Both liked the game, but I didn't think of making our game, but one day my brother said he would make a game. At first, I made my brother by myself, but as you know, if you don't know it's programming, you can't really get what to do.

So my brother asked me a lot. How to make this is what it is, so I advised me and helped me, so I became more interested in the game and participated in the planning at some point. As a result, I didn't just help, but I wanted to be together, so I left the company, founded the Ifmun corporation, and created the first game, 'Rim: Jar of Soul'.

Q. Was there no burden to leave a good job and make a game?

Moon Jong -ho: Why didn't you? I was worried about giving up a stable life. However, I wanted to try it so much, and if I was a little late, I couldn't try this.

But my parents seem to have seen a little bad. It's a joke, but he told her that her brother had lost her brother on a bad way (laughs). At first, I was not selected for the Smilegate membership, but I also saw that last year, I was able to do well with external results, including the top 10 in the game audition and presented on the stage. Q. What is the reason for the development of 'Rim: Jar of Soul'.

Moon Jong -ho: Both enjoyed 'Diablo 2'. Even now, the genre of nuclei and slashes, where the devil comes out against the background of the medieval fantasy, is a taste. In addition to Diablo, such a game of game is mainly played, so we naturally go to our tastes to reflect our tastes. At first, the PC game was aiming, but two people had clear limits, so instead, we concluded that we could create a mobile game where we could feel the speed and exciting blow of our favorite hack and slash and put it here. ** Q. It may not be intended, but it feels similar to the Vampire Survivors.

Moon Jong -ho: I heard a lot in the field that it is similar to the 'Vampire Survivors'. In fact, there are many games that grow and grow when leveling up in logite. For example, if you level up the legend of the archer, you don't want to choose the skill and strengthen the specific skill you want. 'Rim: Jar of Soul' also has such a logite element, and 'Vampire Survivors' is a big hit, so many people seem to think of 'Vampire Survivors' naturally when you see this system.

Anyway, it's a bit embarrassing, but it's actually a completely new game under the sky. So I don't care much.

Q. When did you develop exactly.

Moon Jong -sik: The worldview itself has been organized since 2017. But this is literally just a concept. It has been developed in 2019 since it started with concept art. I started alone, and in August of that year, my brother participated and started to speed up in earnest.

Moon Jong -sik: I majored in art, but the role model was Kim Bum Artist. So when I studied as a role model, I naturally resembled. But recently, while developing games, working mainly on dots and programming to help brothers, I have not been able to draw properly for three years. Still, I've been drawing again in preparation for the Play Expo, but it was still fun. So, after the work needed for the game right now, I want to draw such pictures that can make use of the character's personality.

** Q. I think it would have been okay to have a different style because I was so good at art.

Moon Jong -sik: At first, the goal was to make a simple game al1. So I chose the pixel art, but it was fun and the ability to shoot dots was increasing. Then my brother came together, but if you look at the indie games, should it be called a trend? There were quite a lot of games with dot sensitivity. The comment was good. So I was used to it, so I chose pixel art.

Q. If you are an artist, there is no stubbornness. I think what if there is a difference between other pixel art and different 'rim: jar of soul'.

Moon Jong -sik: When it is usually called pixel art, the background and character are unified in the form of 2D. If you do it wrong, it may be awkward, but the gap between them is minimized so that it is not awkward. That can be said to be a characteristic of 'Rim: Jar of Soul'.

Q. Is the characters drawn on the background? It looks like important characters.

Moon Jong -ho: Other playable characters. The characteristics are different for each character. For example, a character specialized in summoning is the same summoning skill from the beginning or the same summoning skill, but there is a difference in ways to have a more enhanced summoner. A similar example is a character with a gun to strengthen its long -range project.

Q. How long have you been developed?

Moon Jong -ho: It is said to be about 70% completed every time you are asked. But not only us, but most of them seem to be similar. There was a demo build to some extent, so most of them said that it was completed about 60-70%. And since we were the first time, it seems difficult to answer clear figures. I hope you know that and the goal is to release later this year.

Q. Compared to a similar style of logite, what is the difference.

Moon Jong -ho: It seems to be a combination of various items. In the 'Rim: Jar of the Soul' item is not an additional element. It is a key element that combines with skills. So, depending on the play style you want and what skills you have strengthened, you need to farm and combine items. For example, if the flat style is good, it is a way to draw a favorable skill, the item that makes the speed quickly, and the thorn damage, or the item that suffers from the equator or blood suction item.

But is this not easy to decide with some standards? So before entering the dungeon, I could choose one item in the village. It is random to make it possible to make new fun and combination every time.
